Boxing: Anthony Joshua slams Fury Sr for comments ahead of Ngannou’s fight

Anthony Joshua has confronted John Fury ahead of his upcoming bout with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Joshua is set to battle Ngannou in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Friday.

During their recent meeting in the Middle East, Joshua jokingly teased Fury Sr about his recent interviews, saying, “How are you? I have watched everything you have said.”

Fury who laughed a the statement, commented on Ngannou’s stature, calling him “a f****** big fella.”

John Fury had earlier cast doubts about Joshua’s ability to beat Ngannou, giving his size and punching strength during the Cameroonian’s bout with his son, Tyson Fury, last year.

In his response, Joshua noted the shifting grounds of the heavyweight division. “It is land of the giants, isn’t it? The heavyweight division is changing up,” he said.

However, the interaction ended on a friendly note, with both men wishing each other luck before parting ways.
